Lovilin is an Egyptian baby hygiene brand built around one principle: every claim we make must be verifiable. We make four products — a Baby Laundry Detergent, an Antibacterial Bottle & Dish Cleanser, an Antibacterial Toy & Surface Cleaner, and an Instant Stain Remover. Together they cover every major cleaning contact point in your baby's daily environment: fabric, feeding equipment, surfaces, and stains. Every formula is fragrance-free, every ingredient is disclosed publicly, and every safety claim is backed by a named certification or a documented formulation decision.

Who makes Lovilin?

Lovilin is developed by Lovilin LLC, registered in the United States, and manufactured in Egypt by House of Good Thingz (HGT) — our Egypt-based operating company that manages manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and distribution. The trademark is registered in the USA. The products are Egyptian-made, Egyptian-certified, and formulated to a standard set by us — not by the factory.

Why is Lovilin different from other baby cleaning brands?

Most baby cleaning brands rely on one of two things to build trust: imported origin, or vague marketing claims like "gentle," "natural," or "recommended by doctors" without specifying which doctor or which standard. Lovilin does neither. Our Toy & Surface Cleaner is the only baby surface cleaner in Egypt certified food-grade by the National Research Centre — Egypt's highest independent scientific research institution. Our detergent names its three enzymes and explains what each one removes. Our bottle cleanser eliminates milk film that standard dish soap leaves behind — demonstrably, under UV light. SECTION 2: SAFETY & CERTIFICATIONS

What certifications do Lovilin products hold?

All four Lovilin products hold EOS (Egyptian Organization for Standardization) certification, confirming regulatory compliance and formulation safety for commercial sale in Egypt. All four products are registered with the EFDA (Egyptian Food and Drug Authority). Our manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certified. Additionally, the Antibacterial Toy & Surface Cleaner holds NRC food-grade certification from the National Research Centre of Egypt — a certification specific to that product only, and the highest available standard for a baby surface cleaner in Egypt.

What does "NRC food-grade certified" mean?

The National Research Centre is Egypt's principal national scientific research institution. Food-grade certification means that the Toy & Surface Cleaner has been independently tested and validated to the standard applied to surfaces that contact food — not merely surfaces that are described as "safe for babies." This is a specific, documented test result, not a marketing badge. The certificate is available to view and download on our website. This certification applies exclusively to the Toy & Surface Cleaner. It does not extend to any other Lovilin product.

Why are all Lovilin products fragrance-free?

Fragrance is the leading cause of contact dermatitis in infants, according to published clinical literature from the American Academy of Dermatology. This is not a trend-based decision or a marketing angle — it is a formulation decision grounded in medical evidence. We removed fragrance from every product in the range, not just from one. The absence of fragrance also means there is no olfactory masking of cleaning effectiveness — what you smell (nothing) is what is in the formula.

Are Lovilin products safe for newborns?

Yes, all four products are formulated for use with babies from birth. The Toy & Surface Cleaner's food-grade certification is specifically relevant for newborns, as it covers surfaces that babies mouth or touch directly. The Bottle & Dish Cleanser's low-residue surfactant system is appropriate for the feeding equipment of newborns. The Laundry Detergent is fragrance-free, dye-free, and phosphate-free — the three categories most associated with infant skin sensitisation. As with any new product, if you notice any adverse reaction on your baby's skin, discontinue use and consult your paediatrician.

Are Lovilin products safe for babies with eczema or sensitive skin?

Our formulas are designed to minimise the ingredient categories most commonly associated with baby skin reactions: fragrance (removed), synthetic dyes (removed), and phosphates (removed from the detergent). We cannot make a medical claim for individual skin conditions — every baby's skin is different, and eczema involves variables that no cleaning product can address alone. If your baby has diagnosed eczema or a known skin condition, we recommend consulting your paediatrician or dermatologist before introducing any new product, and conducting a patch-test trial before full use. Our full ingredient list is available for every product so that you or your doctor can review the specific formulation.

Do Lovilin products contain bleach, peroxide, or alcohol?

The Laundry Detergent, Bottle Cleanser, and Surface Cleaner contain no bleach, peroxide, or added alcohol. The Instant Stain Remover contains denatured alcohol as one of its three active mechanisms — this is the ingredient responsible for initial stain dissolution and is present at a functional concentration, not as a preservative. Are Lovilin products tested on animals?

No. Lovilin does not conduct or commission animal testing for any of its products or ingredients.

SECTION 3: THE PRODUCTS

Baby Laundry Detergent — What makes it different from other baby detergents?

The Lovilin Baby Laundry Detergent uses a four-enzyme system — Subtilisin (protein stains: milk, food), Amylase (starch stains: puréed vegetables, cereal), Mannanase (gum residue: fabric softener buildup), and Cellulase (fabric protection and fibre care). Most baby detergents use a single surfactant system. Naming the enzymes is not branding — it is accountability. We can tell you what each one removes because we know what each one does. The formula contains zero fragrance, zero added dyes, and zero phosphates. It works in all water temperatures and is compatible with all washing machine types, including HE machines.

Baby Laundry Detergent — How many washes does one bottle provide?

One litre provides approximately 30 washes at the recommended dose. The correct dose is indicated on the measuring cap. Using more than the recommended amount does not improve cleaning — it increases residue in the rinse cycle and reduces the number of washes per bottle.

Baby Laundry Detergent — Can I use it for the whole family's laundry, not just baby clothes?

Yes. The detergent is effective on all fabrics including whites and colours, and is suitable for adult laundry as well as baby garments. The formulation is gentler than most standard household detergents because it is designed for baby skin contact — using it for the whole family is not a compromise, it is an upgrade.

Antibacterial Bottle & Dish Cleanser — Why is standard dish soap not enough for baby bottles?

Standard dish soaps are formulated for household dishes — they are effective at removing visible food residue. However, they are generally not formulated to break down the protein-lipid milk film (casein and fat residue) that adheres to bottle walls after a milk feed. This film is not visible to the naked eye after rinsing, but it is visible under UV light. It is also a nutrient-rich surface for bacterial growth. Lovilin's Bottle Cleanser uses a specific surfactant combination — Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Lauramine Oxide — formulated to address this milk film. The result is demonstrable: you can test it yourself with a UV torch.

Antibacterial Bottle & Dish Cleanser — What surfaces can it clean?

Baby bottles and all their components (teats, valves, sealing rings, collars), breast pump parts (flanges, valves, tubing connectors), pacifiers and teethers, weaning spoons and bowls, and standard household dishes. It is not formulated for hard surfaces such as highchair trays or floor surfaces — that is the role of the Toy & Surface Cleaner.

Antibacterial Toy & Surface Cleaner — What surfaces is it suitable for?

The Toy & Surface Cleaner is suitable for all hard baby-contact surfaces: toys (plastic, rubber, silicone), highchair trays, playmats, door handles and push surfaces, crib rails, pram frames, and similar surfaces. It is suitable for sealed wood and metal. For unsealed or natural wood, spray onto a cloth first rather than directly onto the surface. It is not designed for use on fabric surfaces — the Stain Remover addresses fabric.

Antibacterial Toy & Surface Cleaner — Does it need to be rinsed after use?

For most surfaces: no. Spray, wait 10 seconds, wipe clean with a cloth. For highchair trays and any surface that will directly contact food — wipe with a damp cloth after cleaning to remove any residue. The food-grade certification confirms the formula's safety for baby-contact surfaces, and correct use as described ensures there is no residue concern.

Instant Stain Remover — How does it work?

The Lovilin Stain Remover uses three mechanisms simultaneously: denatured alcohol (solvent — dissolves the stain structure on contact), Sodium Sulphite (reductant — targets oxidised pigment compounds from fruit, vegetable, and organic stains), and a surfactant (lifts the broken-down residue from the fabric). Most stain sprays use a single mechanism. The triple-mechanism covers a wider range of stain chemistry in one application, without bleach or peroxide.

Instant Stain Remover — Does it work on set-in stains, not just fresh ones?

Yes, though fresh stains respond fastest. For fresh stains: spray, wait 30 seconds, blot gently, then launder. For set-in or dried stains: spray, allow 5–10 minutes of contact time, agitate gently with a damp cloth, then launder with the Lovilin Baby Laundry Detergent for complete removal. Using both products together gives the best result on difficult stains — the Stain Remover pre-treats and the detergent's enzyme system finishes.

Instant Stain Remover — Is it safe on coloured fabrics?

Yes. The formula contains no bleach and no peroxide — both of which cause colour loss on repeated use. The Sodium Sulphite reductive mechanism removes pigment stains without oxidising the fabric's own colour. It is suitable on coloured fabrics and delicates. As with any treatment, test on an inconspicuous area first if you are using it on an unfamiliar fabric type.

What is the 4-Product Bundle?

The 4-Product Bundle includes the Baby Laundry Detergent, the Antibacterial Bottle & Dish Cleanser, the Antibacterial Toy & Surface Cleaner, and the Instant Stain Remover — the three daily-use products in the Lovilin system. Where can I buy Lovilin products?

Lovilin products are available on our website at lovilin.com, on Amazon.eg, and on Noon Egypt. We are progressively expanding to independent pharmacies across Cairo and Alexandria — you can find your nearest stocking pharmacy on our website's pharmacy finder. If your local pharmacy does not stock Lovilin, you can request that they do using the form on our website, or order directly from us online with delivery to your door.

Do you deliver across Egypt?

Yes. We deliver to all governorates across Egypt.

How long does delivery take?

All orders are typically processed and shipped within 3–7 business days. During holidays, sales campaigns, or high-demand periods, shipping may take longer than usual due to increased order volume. You will receive a confirmation email or message with your tracking details once your order has been shipped. If you have any questions about your shipment, our customer support team is ready to help.

How will I know my order has been shipped?

Once your order is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email or message containing your tracking details. If you do not receive this within 7 business days of placing your order, contact us at support@lovilin.com and we will look into it right away.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Contact us as soon as possible at support@lovilin.com if you need to amend or cancel your order. We will do our best to accommodate changes before the order enters processing.

SECTION 6: RETURNS & EXCHANGES

What is your return and exchange policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with every Lovilin purchase. If for any reason you are not, you may return or exchange eligible items within 14 days from the delivery date. Returned items must be in their original condition — unused, unopened, and with all original packaging intact. Certain promotions, bundles, or exclusive offers may have different return conditions; these will be clearly stated at the time of purchase.

How do I request a return or exchange?

You can request a return or exchange directly from your account through our RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) system:

Navigate to "My Returns" or "Request RMA" in your account dashboard.
Select the order and the item(s) you wish to return or exchange.
Choose the reason for the return and specify whether you prefer a replacement or a refund.
Upload an image showing the condition of the item if required.

How will my refund be issued?

By default, approved refunds are credited to your Lovilin Wallet, which can be used for any future purchase on the website. If you prefer a refund to your original payment method instead, contact our support team directly at support@lovilin.com and we will arrange this for you. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If any product arrives damaged, photograph the packaging and the product and contact us at support@lovilin.com as soon as possible. You can also submit this through the RMA system in your account. We will arrange a replacement promptly.

What if my baby has a reaction to a Lovilin product?

Stop using the product immediately and consult your paediatrician. Then contact us directly at support@lovilin.com with the product name, the batch number printed on the bottle, and details of the reaction. We investigate every reported reaction personally. If the reaction is confirmed to be product-related, we will resolve it fully — and the product batch will be reviewed for quality.
